Welcome to the Upper Witham Internal Drainage Board website.
The Board consists of 35 members, 18 of which are appointed by the district councils which contribute towards the Board's expenses, with the remaining 17 members being elected by the occupiers of land in the district who contribute towards the Board's expenses. The Board are administered by a Chief Executive and supporting staff. The Board determine policy within the constraints imposed upon them by government, the staff are responsible for implementing the policy.
